DAY 01: HANOI ARRIVAL

Meet on arrival and transfer to hotel for check in. In the evening you will attend the performance of the famous Vietnamese traditional art of water puppetry at Thang Long Theatre. Overnight in Hanoi. (D)

DAY 02: HANOI - HAO BINH - MAI CHAU

AM: depart from your hotel to Maichau. Stop in HoaBinh to see the Hydro Electric Central. Continue to Maichau, stop over on the way. 13h00 Arrive at Maichau. Pm: Short trekking to visit Thai village, BanVan & BanLac. Overnight at Pomcong village in Maichau. (B/L)

DAY 03: MAI CHAU - SONLA

AM: Depart to Sonla. Stop to visit small ethnic hamlets scattering along the way from Yen Chau, Moc Chau (Muong people). Luch on the way. 14h00 Arrival Sonla Visit Old Prison of Sonla, Overnight in Sonla. (B/L)

DAY 04: SONLA - DIENBIENPHU

Morning visit to SonLa prison & ethology museum .Drive to DienBienPhu, with stopover at the typical beauty spots and hill tribe minorities of hamlets Afternoon visit to. The sites of the old battle.Overnight at MuongThanh Hotel – DienBienPhu. (B/L)

DAY 05: DIENBIENPHU

Overland to TamDuong. En route, you meet numberous hill tribes minorities of Hmong, Dao, Kho Mu, Mang,..and visit the picturesque terrace fields. Overnight at LanAnh 2 Hotel –in Paso PhongTho. (B/L)

DAY 06: PHONGTHO

Am: 8h00 Depart to Sapa. Strolling through the colourful market at Tam Duong early in the morning where you will meet many different ethnic minority communities. After the market, you will head out on another one of Northern Vietnam’s most spectacular roads on the way to Sapa with stopover at waterfalls. Arriver in the old French colonial hill station of Sapa late in the afternoon. Free time after check–in until dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel. (PASO)

DAY 07: SAPA TOUR - CAT CAT

After breakfast at hotel, we enjoy the beautiful landscape and visit the bustling Sa Pa Market where the Red Dao, Black Hmong, Tay and Xa Pho ethnic minorities converge from the nearby mountainsides and valleys to trade their goods and buy provisions. Late morning, climb up Sapa hill, only a short walk from your hotel to its mystic rock formations, rare orchids and flowers. Enjoy the minority show performed by the young minority ladies and man. Afternoon, we take a short drive to Cat Cat Village of the Hmong People, then take a light trekking around, share their daily lives for a rate glimpse into their culture and customs. (B/L)

DAY 08 : SAPA - BAC HA (or MUONG KHUONG) - LAO CAI

After having breakfast, you will travel by car to Bac Ha, which is 64 km Northeastern Lao Cai. The ride is relatively flat from Lao Cai to Bao Nhai, where you will be taken through rural area. Bac Ha is the largest market in the area, situated inside the small town of Bac Ha. On every Sunday mornings, it is literally a riot of color as many different ethnic groups such as Flower Hmong, Phu La, Black Dao, Tay, Nung minorities... gather to buy and sell. After spending the whole morning exploring the market, your lunch will be served in a local restaurant. After lunch, you drive downhill for about half an hour. You will then start a short walk to Trung Do village, which belongs to the Tay minority. Here you can visit a traditional Tay house, before getting on a boat. You will have a cruise upstream the Chay River to experience the picturesque scenes on the river banks. You will then cruise down stream to the Bao Nhai Bridge. Then back to Lao Cai. O/N in Lao Cai. DAY 09 : LAO CAI - HANOI

7h00 Am Return to Hanoi. More stop on the way. Lunch at PhoRang town. 17h00 Arrival Hanoi. O/N in Hanoi. (B/L)

DAY 10 : HANOI

Take a full day city tour : visit Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (closed on Monday, Friday and the whole months of October–November) and His Residence, One–Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature, built in the 11th century as Vietnam’s first university. Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon visit Historical museum, Hoan Kiem Lake with NgocSon Temple and one hour cyclo tour along the Old Quarter and end of the tour is shopping in Hang Dao and Hang Bong streets. Overnight in Hanoi.(B/L)

DAY 11 : HANOI - HALONG

After breakfast at hotel. Drive to Halong Bay (165 km east of Hanoi), listed as a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. “Dragon descending to the sea” as it is known in Vietnamese, picturesque Halong Bay has more than 1,000 limestone islets rising from the sea, many of them containing beautiful grottoes. At noon arrive in Halong city, where you will board the wooden junk. While cruising through the bay, seafood lunch is served on board. Visit Thien Cung & Dau Go caves; circle Tuan Chau, Ga Choi, Dinh Huong, Dog and Sail islands. Stop at Titop Beach. Dinner and overnight on board of the Junk.(B/L)

DAY 12: HALONG - HANOI

Breakfast on board; continue cruising to Man’s head and Tortoise islands, Luan cave, Bai Tu Long Bay, Toad Island and Bai Tho Mountain. Disembark at Halong pier. Drive to back Hanoi hotel. O/N in Hanoi. (B/L)

DAY 13: HANOI – HOA LU

Proceed to Tam Coc to visit “Halong Bay on land” – the same limestone rocks as in Halong Bay but seen from a winding stream through paddy fields instead of the sea. Enjoy spectacular scenery during the boat trip to Tam Coc caves with visit of the Bich Dong Pagoda. Visit Dinh and Le dynasty temples.Transfer to Hanoi.(B/L)

DAY 14: HANOI - DEPARTURE

Free leisure untills transfer to airport for flight to departure.
