DAY 01: HANOI ARRIVAL

Arrive at NoiBai Airport. Meet with guide and transfer to the hotel. Welcome dinner featured with Vietnamese specialty. Overnight in hotel. (D)

DAY 02: HA NOI–THAI NGUYEN–BA BE NATIONAL PARK (240Kms/7Hours)

8h00. Pick up at the hotel. As you head out of Ha Noi, over the Red River on the Chuong Duong Bridge, the suburbs quickly give way to the sprawling farm lands of the Red River Delta. Travel north along Hwy 3 to Thai Nguyen for a stop to enjoy a lunch of traditional Vietnamese food. Worth a visit here is the Museum of the Cultures of Viet Nam Ethnic Groups Leaving the delta behind, you’ll start climbing into the mountainous area of Ba Be National Park. Take a short boat trip (30 minutes) to a Tay village and homestay in a local house. (L)

DAY 03: TREKKING FROM BA BE TO TAY’S VILLAGE

AM: hard trekking to visit Tay’s village accompanied by local guide. Take away lunch will be arranged. It takes 5–hour walk to the village – spend time with ethnic people. Overnight in the village of ethnic people.(B/L)

Day 04 : BA BE - CAO BANG (120kms/4 hours)

Ba Be National Park, surrounded by rugged limestone mountains it is Viet Nams only natural mountain lake. This important eco–system is best known for it’s over 330 species of butterflies! Have breakfast with your Tay hosts. The lush forest clinging to the surrounding mountains is your backdrop as you explore the lake. Reach the end of the lake and stop for a trek to Dau Dang waterfall. Meet your Jeep, head north through the lush mountain passes to the city of Cao Bang. Overnight in Hotel. (B/L)

Day 05 : Ban Gioc Waterfall (85kms/2.5 hours)

Jeep ride to Ban Gioc, visit the waterfall on this day you’ll take a scenic in insightful day trip north of Cao Bang to the beautiful Ban Gioc waterfall on the Chinese border. This picturesque, cascading waterfall is 53 meters high and has an impressive span of 300 meters. The drive there offers unique landscapes, limestone karst formations soar from the verdant rice paddies of the surrounding farms of local ethnic minorities. Along the way, you’ll see Tay, Hmong and Dzao ethnic minority groups. Heading back to Cao Bang, stop to explore the expansive 2,144 meter Nguom Ngao Cavern to discover its brilliant stalactites. Return to Cao Bang and overnight in Hotel. (B/L)

DAY 06: CAO BANG - HANOI

AM: Return to Hanoi. More stop on the way. Lunch on the way.17h00 Arrival Hanoi. O/N in Hanoi. (B/L)

DAY 07: HANOI

Take a full day city tour : visit Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (closed on Monday, Friday and the whole months of October–November) and His Residence, One–Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature, built in the 11th century as Vietnam’s first university. Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon visit Historical museum, Hoan Kiem Lake with NgocSon Temple and one hour cyclo tour along the Old Quarter and end of the tour is shopping in Hang Dao and Hang Bong streets. Overnight in Hanoi. (B/L)

DAY 08 : HANOI - HALONG

After breakfast at hotel. Drive to Halong Bay (165 km east of Hanoi), listed as a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. ”Dragon descending to the sea“ as it is known in Vietnamese, picturesque Halong Bay has more than 1,000 limestone islets rising from the sea, many of them containing beautiful grottoes. At noon arrive in Halong city, where you will board the wooden junk. While cruising through the bay, seafood lunch is served on board. Visit Thien Cung & Dau Go caves; circle Tuan Chau, Ga Choi, Dinh Huong, Dog and Sail islands. Stop at Titop Beach. Dinner and overnight on board of the Junk. (B/L/D)

DAY 09 : HALONG - HANOI

Breakfast on board; continue cruising to Man’s head and Tortoise islands, Luan cave, Bai Tu Long Bay, Toad Island and Bai Tho Mountain. Disembark at Halong pier. Drive to back Hanoi hotel. O/N in Hanoi. (B/L)

DAY 10 :HANOI - HOA LU

Proceed to Tam Coc to visit “Halong Bay on land“ – the same limestone rocks as in Halong Bay but seen from a winding stream through paddy fields instead of the sea. Enjoy spectacular scenery during the boat trip to Tam Coc caves with visit of the Bich Dong Pagoda. Visit Dinh and Le dynasty temples.Transfer to Hanoi.O/N in Hanoi(B/L)

DAY 11 : HANOI DEPARTURE

Free leisure untills transfer to airport for flight to departure.
